Project description
Rail industry gains traction
Europe is on track towards achieving its resource-efficient and more competitive rail industry goals, thanks to innovation and policy advances. The European Commission is paving the way with the creation of a single European railway area via major rail infrastructure investments. The EU-funded TER4RAIL project will bring together rail-related stakeholders and identify new opportunities for innovative research. It will also facilitate the cross-fertilisation of knowledge from other disciplines, at what is referred to as the Rail Innovative Research Observatory. Its goal is to select, summarise and disseminate information. The overall ambition is to become the coordination and support action project of reference for the evolution of railways.
