Descripción del proyecto DEENESFRITPL Una alternativa de plástico reutilizado a las tejas de arcilla Los tejados de tejas de arcilla, que son uno de los estilos arquitectónicos más antiguos, se han utilizado durante miles de años. Una alternativa ecológica a las tejas de arcilla está hecha de plástico reutilizado y reciclado. En el proyecto ROOFECO, financiado con fondos europeos, se está desarrollando una tecnología innovadora y rentable para transformar los residuos de plástico en productos de alto valor añadido. El nuevo sistema de tejado pesa hasta un 70 % menos que las tejas de arcilla tradicionales y produce menos CO2 por metro cuadrado. Estas innovadoras tejas de plástico no necesitan mantenimiento y son fáciles de instalar con una conexión de teja a teja que fija la teja a la estructura del edificio de forma más rápida. Otras características de estas tejas son su reducido grosor (5 mm) y resistencia al envejecimiento gracias a la nanotecnología.
