Project description
Simulation tools to boost cyber awareness level of the maritime logistics value chain
Digital infrastructure is the key to operating and managing systems vital to the safety and security of shipping and ports. However, cyber risk management must be improved, and the importance of cyber preparedness cannot be overstated. The EU-funded Cyber-MAR project aims to exploit cyber range – an innovative hands-on cyber simulation training virtual environment used for cyberwarfare training and cyber technology research and development – in the maritime logistics value chain. It will develop a cost-efficient, novel simulation environment serving as both a knowledge-based platform and a decision support tool for cybersecurity measures. Data from incident response teams will be analysed and fed into the knowledge-based platform with newly-targeted scenarios and exercises.
