Daily Experiences of Successful Ageing

Project description

Study to shed light on successful aging

The belief that the quality of life of older people depends on their everyday activities is widespread but there are not many studies based on subjective data provided by people over the age of 65. The EU-funded DEXSAGE project aims to fill this important knowledge gap with research based on an innovative methodology. It will set out to collect and analyse subjective data on a time-based approach using three algorithms: type of information about events of a day/week, descriptions of importance and their effects, and descriptions of the influence of the activities for the wellbeing of respondents. The result of the study will be used to promote the most positive model for ‘Successful Ageing’.
