Cortical Maps of Resistive Anisotropic Networks

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Exploitable results

The result consists in an analog integrated circuit organized as a mesh of simple interacting elements acting as a tuned filter to extract local features from an image in real-time, performing local feature extraction from recurrent interaction of neighbouring pixels. In industrial and consumers' world there are many alerting and guidance tasks that could be performed by peripheral vision sensors based on dynamic measurements overgross-feature space: (a) low-end products for every-day life visual requirements (e.g., such sensors could beused as rear-view-mirrors in a car safety-system, or as detectors for discriminating movement ofinfants/patients at home or at health-care structures); (b) vision aid for elderly and handicapped people; and(c) in general, behavioural systems able to provide a reflex as a shortcut to action.
