Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

Sound Health Phase 1 project analyzed the Feasibility of 3DSignals solution for Industry 4.0 providing machine connectivity, Asset Performance Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance. Our machine agnostic hardware allows all the equipment of a factory to be unified under 3DSignals platform.
Value proposition: Increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), Reduce maintenance cost, Reduce manufacturing time, Compatibility with all types of machines, for any industry and any age (old and new ones), Easy and quick to install, setup and operate.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

TECHNICAL: 1) Defined Minimum Viable Product, corresponding with APM Solution, including main specifications. 2) Validated value proposition with target clients 3) Pilot testing: monitoring of 63 machines in SAMSON manufacturing plant 4) Defined required certification for commerce in EU. 5) Revised product costs. 6) Established a development plan including: hardware, software, algorithm and Predictive Maintenance. 7) Elaborated pilot plan. 8) Reviewed value chain and reinforced partnerships.
COMMERCIAL: Analyzed 1) target market: Industry 4.0 2) Key success factors, 3) Customers, 4) Competition. Also 6) developed go to market strategy: defined business model, overall strategy, price strategy, scalability, internationalization and willingness to pay of clients, 7) defined risks and mitigation plan, and 8) Assured freedom to operate through patent analysis in the state of the art; and established patent strategy.
FINANCIAL: 1) Forecasted P&L until 2023. 2) Defined financial needs and defined financial risks and mitigation.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

Where 3DSignals stands apart is that it is an inexpensive solution that can be installed in less than an hour, entirely external to the machine, yet provides accurate data about the performance of any and all production machinery. Our innovative approach, using acoustic and vibration analysis will disrupt the industry, giving all manufacturers the opportunity to implement the first stages of Industry 4.0 immediately, receiving the benefits of greater connectivity, information and data analysis about their production process.
We expect to achieve 383 factories monitored in 2023, with an average of 200 machines per plant (76.600 monitored assets); with a total headcount of 250 employees.
SOCIAL: There are around 2,1M enterprises in Europe classified as Manufacturing, employing more than 29,9M people. Sound Health project will contribute firmly to the adoption of Industry 4.0 paradigm in Europe.
