Blade Tip Timing System Validator

Deliverables

Facility re-configured to original state

Remove trial rotor and return facility back to standard awaiting future use by other customers

Test schedule completed

Creates the test schedule that describe the requirements of the test facility and additional instrumentation required to meet the test objectivesPrepares the test article by in the facility and prepares it prior to running the full test scheduleRun the test and inform the required expert areas when they are required to assist in the test in order to obtain the required data

Test rotor fitted and balanced

Creates the test schedule that describe the requirements of the test facility and additional instrumentation required to meet the test objectives

Tracked mode/Engine order strain gauge data available

Analyse all data from the rig with the chosen software packages and methods

BTT displacement data available

Convert displacements to stress using value from FEM and laboratory calibration

LDV tip displacement data available

Compare with steady state LDV scans with strainFEMBTT

Detailed test plan published (V1)

Outlines the test to be completed and the resources required

Obtain and strip rotor

Identify a suitable rotor, strip the blades ready for FEM analysis and strain gauge attachement. Perfor NDT of rotor to ensure safe operation
