D11 Data Management Plan DMPThe DMP will succinctly describe the data management life cycle for data as collected in the field processed and generated by the various work packages The DMP will document the handling of research data during and after the end of the project the type of data collated the methodologies and standards used or developed by the project the deliverables and how the data will be curated and preserved Importantly the DMPs will clearly indicate how the different project deliverables may be shared amongst partners and ultimately to the wider international community

Report on the field campaign (opens in new window)

D4.4: A document describing the roll-out and results off the field campaignThis document describes how the field campaign was conducted and provides all information on the samples that have been taken and shipped to the central laboratory, such as date of sampling, geo-reference, barcode, sample size, etc.

Report on the training on the SIS for the technical staff of the SIS-hosting institute (opens in new window)

D6.5: Report documenting the training of the technical staff of the SIS-hosting instituteThis report will provide all training materials used to train staff of the SIS hosting institute for future use, as well as a description of the training and records of the trainees.

A set of use cases plus supporting soil quality indicators (opens in new window)

D21 A set of use cases plus supporting soil quality indicatorsThis document will describe examples of the potential use use cases of the SIS in the field of sustainable intensification The use cases are developed with potential users and will lead to soil quality indicators that are needed in the context of the use case An example of a use case is a development organisation that wants to use soil information to identify hotspots for erosion in a country In that case the soil quality indicator is soil erodibility

A document describing an approach for sustainable use and maintenance of the SIS, including funding strategies (opens in new window)

D2.2: A document describing a approach for sustainable use and maintenance of the SIS, including funding strategies A document describing a strategy for sustained maintenance and use (including funding) of the SIS. The document also describes the support of the various stakeholders and their willingness to provide long term investment.

Overview of existing datasets and the sampling protocol (opens in new window)

D32 A report providing an overview of existing datasets and the sampling protocolThis report describes which relevant existing datasets are available providing data on the soils in the agricultural areas in Africa Each data set will be briefly described metadata will be given as well as its potential for use in this project

PEDR (opens in new window)

D12 Plan for the Exploitation and Dissemination of Results PEDRThe PEDR is a document describing the strategy for sharing the project results with potential users dissemination and the use of project results exploitation The document provides concrete exploitation and dissemination activities for each work package

Guidance for the laboratory analysis (opens in new window)

D3.4: Detailed guidance document for the laboratory analysisThis document describes in detail which analyses will be carried out on which samples. It also describes which equipment is needed, the training requirements for the staff, a strategy for the application of soil spectroscopy in combination with wet-chemistry, and a strategy for quality assurance.
