Broadcast media is going through a defining change in viewership habits. Over-the-top (OTT) and streaming services are supplanting traditional linear television because of the public’s increasing demand for content. They want on-demand and quickly accessible videos whenever they choose and on the platform they prefer, including for sports. Grassroot sports leagues are also tapping into this paradigm shift, they are looking for ways to bring their games to their fans. Not only will this increase fan-team engagement, but it will also enable added revenue streams that were previously not available to them. For that, Keemotion has developed an automated and unmanned video sports production system to satisfy the need for cost-effective and professional quality production systems. Smaller 2nd and 3rd tier sports leagues will be able to broadcast their games through streaming online portals such as OTTs and social media platforms, thereby creating value for their content and increasing the value of their team and league.
During the Feasibility Study, we have established the technical work that is necessary in order to bring our Keemotion system to TRL9. For that, we have defined a Work Plan, which is the basis of our EIC Accelerator project, and has allowed us to identify the required personnel resources, equipment and materials. We have also conducted thorough analysis of the Broadcasting market, the Sports Industry, the Sports Media Rights and the Betting markets, as well as defined our technical, commercial and financial risks. We have identified and analyzed our competition, and also conducted a Freedom to Operate assessment to confirm that we no IP conflicts.

Keemotion has designed and created an automated and unmanned sports video production system to allow grassroot leagues to create content and broadcast their games, despite not having broadcasting deals. Our cost-effective and professional quality solution will create increased fan engagement and growth for a leagues’ value, generating revenue opportunities through subscription fees, advertisement and sponsorship prospects. We will have a market-ready product by 2022 as we project a cumulative profit of over €180 million through the first 5 years of commercialization, and an expansion throughout Europe and the USA.
