Una nueva bandeja biodegradable y totalmente natural para alimentos
El envasado de alimentos resulta esencial para conservar la calidad de la comida y garantizar la seguridad de los consumidores. Durante decenios, el empleo de plásticos de un solo uso en los envases ha ido en aumento, dando lugar a un número creciente de residuos plásticos. De hecho, el sector del envasado es el primer consumidor de plásticos y los envases plásticos representan más de la mitad de los residuos posconsumo. Favorecido por la demanda de los consumidores de productos más respetuosos con el medio ambiente, el futuro del envasado es sostenible y ecológico. En este contexto, el proyecto financiado con fondos europeos FRAMTID desarrollará un nuevo tipo de bandeja para alimentos que es natural y ofrece una amplia gama de temperaturas de funcionamiento en las que no se transfieren sustancias nocivas a los alimentos ni se modifican sus propiedades organolépticas. Asimismo, la bandeja es de origen vegetal y tarda doce semanas en biodegradarse.

Today a third of all food produced worldwide is wasted, approximately 1300 million tons. At PackBenefit we know that
resources are limited and should be used more responsibly, so we have developed comprehensive packaging solutions that
enable the reduction of food waste by ensuring conservation and safety in the production chain through greater integrity in
the supply chain and storage of them.
FRAMTID trays are natural. They offer the broadest range of working temperatures on the market, without migrating harmful
substances to the food or altering its organoleptic properties and the tray does not lose rigidity when heated. On the other
hand, they are the best solution among food packaging regarding ecological impact; FRAMTID is 100% compostable.
