SkyDrive designs and manufactures racing car simulators and delivers simulation services to professional drivers and racing teams competing in the racing categories of single-seaters (Formula cars) and Grand Touring cars (GT cars).
Our high-quality simulator, AVEHIL, reproduces a specific subsets of behaviors of a real car to a high degree of fidelity, delivering the state of the art usability and effectiveness in racing car simulation. AVEHIL is an sickness-free platform for drivers to master driving techniques and for racing engineers to research, test and validate innovative in-vehicle technologies and race set ups.
The goals of AVEHIL PLUS is to enhance our platform by incorporating a high-fidelity model of the tyre behaviour alongside other improvements on the driver interface, the engineer interface and the simulation environment. These will allow us to address a larger and more sophisticated market.

We developed a studythat checks thefeasibility of AVEHIL PLUS. We analysed technical objectivesand the necessarydevelopments, and drafted an execution plan to implement, test and validate the new system.We madean analysis of the market of virtual reality and simulation services in the motorsport industry anddeveloped our go-to-market strategy. Ourplan for commercialization considersthreats, opportunities, trends and barriers, and competitors’activity. We have secured our Freedom-to-operate anddefined theIPR protectionstrategy. Ourbusiness plan includes evaluation of sales, costs, timing and total investments. We performed an analysis on cash-flow and estimated project financial indicators such as payback and ROI. Project budgethas been estimated and required sources of funding havebeen analysed.Overall the project has been deemed as feasible.
AVEHIL PLUS will allowracing teams to train and develop racing strategies in a safe and controlled manner, respectful with the environment and at a much lower cost as compared to performing the same actions on racing tracks. AVEHIL PLUS will present a high-quality simulation solution affordable also to humble and medium-humbleracing teams and drivers, hence disrupting the market of simulation services in the motorsport industry and challenging the know-how monopoly that a few Formula 1 racing teams enjoy today.
