Technology maturation of global first-movers in automated indoor map generation

Project description

Smart mapping of big buildings

Many large building complexes today – from company headquarters to hospitals – are so big that it is easy for visitors to get lost. Every day, many people are late for appointments or meetings, making whole systems of companies or institutions seriously less efficient. MazeMap is the first global company offering automated indoor interactive map systems for all types of large building complexes including universities, hospitals, office buildings or shopping malls. It uses artificial intelligence and machine learning. The EU-funded SmartMap project’s first phase has enabled a feasibility study and brought over a million signed-up test users. In phase 2, they plan to optimise automation rates and commercialise their customisable solution with zero-cost productions and potential revenues of over 50 million.
