In all industries, traditional development, design and testing of physical products are exposed to the malfunctioning of the final product in the real-world settings, after large and expensive development cycles. One solution to maximize the detection of product design defects and minimize the production of costly physical prototypes, is to generate a wide range of digital versions of the product to test with simulations that reproduce real-world through models. Nevertheless, traditional simulation solutions remain expensive and complex which make them non-affordable for European small and medium sized companies, limiting their innovation capability. Furthermore, the impact of developing more reliable final products through simulations is not only economic but also survival-related, minimizing or even avoiding potential accidents due to malfunctioning of components used for aerospace or automotive industries.
In this context, the objective of PACEFISH is democratize wind tunnel CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) solutions providing tool that compared to state-of-art solutions maintains reliable accuracy compared to real-world experiments (5% deviation window from experimental data) but with : (1) reduction in the upfront investment up to 90%; (2) performance enhancement of 30 times and (3) 95% reduction of pre-processing.
