Innovation support for Iceland’s SMEs
Innovation Center Iceland (ICI) is an important institution that supports entrepreneurs and SMEs towards innovation and economic growth in the country. Specialized and highly qualified staff of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) at ICI provide entrepreneurs and SMEs with the support necessary to increase their potential to scale-up and grow globally. The EU-funded ICKEAM-5 project focusing on innovation management will have two main target groups. It will deliver Key Account Management (KAM) services to SME beneficiaries of the EIC Pilot under H2020; and it will provide services for Enhancing Innovation Management Capacity (EIMC) to particularly promising SMEs displaying high potential for international growth but in need of dedicated support and knowledge to manage their innovation operations.
Objective
Main task is to deliver Key Account Management services to SME beneficiaries of the EIC pilots under H2020, in addition to offering Enhancing the innovation management capacity of SMEs, focusing on particularly promising SMEs in enhancing their innovation management capacities. The services are aimed at SMEs in Iceland with a great potential for international growth, but lack knowledge, skills or ability to manage innovation activities. Highly qualified staff of Enterprise Europe Network at the Innovation Center Iceland possesses the skills required and in-depth knowledge of the support required to enable companies to reach their potential.
