High-speed data-processing software framework that speeds up and streamlines processes in the space, aerospace, robotics and IoT industries

Project description

A powerful generic software tool to build software applications on

A software framework is an abstraction in which software providing generic functionality can be selectively changed by additional user-written code. As such, it provides a standard way to build and deploy applications. Simply put, it is skeleton software written to help you be productive. The EU-funded Klepsydra project is developing an easy-to-use and accessible software framework for the space industry, as well as robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles and the Internet of Things. In fact, the project expects the software framework to reduce the development times by half and speed up data processing by 40 %.

Objective

Klepsydra is a friendly and accessible software framework aimed at building high performance and quality space, robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles and IoT embedded applications. Klepsydra reduces development times by 50% and speeds up data processing by 40%.
Our primary market is the space industry, which is segmented globally. Space is a massive international market, with a market value of greater than €40B worldwide. The USA and EU budgets together represent a market of > €25B. By 2030 over 13,000 satellites will be launched , meaning it is an exceptionally fast-growing market. We have very close relations with ESA (as we are part of ESA Business Incubator Center) and with NASA.
With this project we will upgrade our current software framework and deploy our business model internationally. As a result of it, we expect a ROI of 6.3 after four years of commercialization.
