Objective
Many companies, especially SMEs, expect the continuing training system to be changed in terms of both the substance and the form of its presentation so as to take account of decentralisation trends, interdisciplinary thinking, temporal and spatial flexibility and increasing cost pressures. The aim of this project is to research and develop new forms and structures of learning with the use of information technologies. The objective is to allow learners to determine their own learning times and forms and structure continuing training programmes in a more economical manner for companies.
The main focus of the project is to develop a common learning interface for various areas of learning and thus simplify and standardise applications. It is planned to develop an overall concept for the use of this multimedia learning programme. The concept comprises the development of learning systems based on telematic content, adaptation of existing learning content to tele-learning, as well as a training concept for tutors. Pan-European use of the learning system will lead to the setting-up of an educational network for exchanging experience and know-how.
Impact
This project advances the application of new information technologies in the vocational training process, mainly using multimedia learning programmes and thus promoting their dissemination throughout Europe.
