Qualification and employment integration programme for excluded women in the education/school service sector

Objective

This project is designed to take advantage of the job creation possibilities of complementary school services (lunch-time services, leisure activities, school transport, etc.) which constitutes a potential area of employment for unqualified women. Many jobs have been created during the last years in this sector but until now most of them have been undeclared and standards of quality are variable.

The partners will design tools concerned with both the supply and the demand of these services. The aim on the one hand is to organise this labour market by promoting consensus amongst all concerned (trainees, parents' associations, school management teams, trade unions and town councils) and, on the other hand, to train disadvantaged women to develop this kind of activity and to improve quality standards. The expected products are training and employment tools (methods and materials) that promote the employment of unqualified women, and a complete report on the results.

Impact
This project will result in increased employment opportunities for disadvantaged women and improvements in the quality of school services.
