Objective
Continuing vocational training mechanisms and structures must be flexible, adaptable and responsive to technological changes and innovation, especially in the clothing sector - a sector which has been facing rapid and intense changes in recent years. The project aims to develop a methodology for identifying the training needs of clothing sector employees, taking into consideration the specific characteristics of each company. The following activities will be undertaken:
- a study of qualifications, skills and job descriptions in the workplace;
- development of a suitable training methodology that can be adapted to the specific needs of different companies;
- planning and development of two common training modules;
- training of designers and people responsible for the development of training plans.
The expected products will be training programmes, training modules, a methodology for analysing and forecasting training needs and open and distance learning material.
Impact
The project will provide a new innovative approach for identifying the training needs of employees in companies.
