In order to accurately record the technical advances it is first necessary to baseline what is currently achievable This will be done at pouch cell level using materials available within the consortium

Combining all learning to date within the WP will allow for trialling of a novel all solid state cell.

Stationary Energy Storage - Use Cases and Requirements (opens in new window)

This deliverable will include a key requirements for stationary energy storage and b use case profiles to assess the batteries on use case specific KPIs

Develop a safe storage, transport and opening protocol for the solid-state batteries at end of life (opens in new window)

A process will be evaluated for disassembly of the solid state batteries and the opening of these cells. A report will be written detailing the protocols.

Operational in-situ NMR and SPM /first tests demonstration (opens in new window)

A report describing briefly the main steps of setting up the NMRSMP equipment inclusing the results of the first measurements

Quantification of Na+ transfer at electrode/electrolyte interfaces (opens in new window)

A report including the diffusion coefficients of sodium in the electrode electrolyte and well as the charge transfer resistances across the electrodeelectrolyte interface

Report on the interpretation of the atomic scale/mesoscopic data (opens in new window)

Report on the interpretation of the atomic scale data. Atomistic models of individual battery components (Prussian white cathode, polymer electrolyte, porous SiOC/SiC/hard carbon anodes) and of relevant interfaces are developed and verified against NMR and XPS data.
