Objective
The aims of this project are the promotion of co-operation between organisations involved in vocational training and continuous education, the establishment of criteria for defining a training methodology to analyse skill needs and the development of self-learning training material for people responsible for skill and qualification needs analysis.
The project will be carried out in two main phases. During the first, the partners will: gather information and undertake a comparative analysis of existing skills needs studies; design the framework for a training methodology that is adaptable to any sector, environment, area or enterprise; define required training contents; and design/develop self-learning materials and web site databases. The second phase will be devoted to testing and dissemination. The partners will: identify pilot groups in each region; train those responsible for training and regional development agents using the materials developed; gather feedback from participants; adapt the material; and disseminate the results.
The training products, materials, tools and methodologies resulting from the project will be translated into various European languages and the outcomes of trials in other countries will be contrasted and compared.
Impact
The project will consolidate a European network of experts specialised in the analysis and anticipation of training and skill needs. The results will constitute a European model for training and skill needs analysis.
