Objective
In order to develop new products or procedures, it is essential for small and medium sized enterprises to have quick access to concrete technological solutions. Training organisations too, as well as students, must be ready to face industrial reality. This pilot project will implement an innovation laboratory on a European scale dealing with vocational training and technological support for small and medium sized enterprises.
This pilot project will begin by analysing and comparing the need for innovation in the vocational training systems and measures in the different partner countries. It will then establish a common set of concepts and skills to be divided up thematically: wood, mechanics, robotics and electronics. The new axes of co-operation between small and medium sized enterprises and training organisations will then be tested via three placement projects. Finally, the project will design and test new content for training programmes.
The results will be distributed through the institutional and economic partners. They will also be presented during an international exhibition on the technology of the future.
Impact
The training modules, communication tools and joint methods that are created will help students, trainers and small and medium sized enterprises to adapt to industrial changes more efficiently.
