COORDINATION OF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ANIMAL FIBRE PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

Objective

This concerted action is concerned with integrating scientific research underpinning the development of European production in high value textile fibre from goats, sheep and cammelids. Several key elements likely to delay development are identified. These include a lack of knowledge concerning the genetics in fibre production, the interaction of nutrition, genotype and environment and how this influences fibre quality and production, and the influence of seasonal biology.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
