ORGANIC LIVESTOCK FARMING : NUTRITIONAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMIC IMPLICATIONS OF CONVERSION

Objective



The project will assess the costs and long-term financial viability of converting high input farms into organic farms by means of efficient use of animal waste, use of improved clover and herb varieties, control of weeds by non-chemical methods, nutritional influence of forage legumes and the effect of using home produced feed on animal health and performance of dairy cows.
