Objective
The project aims to the improvement of the efficiency of production of potplants and flowers, and also increasing and standardisation of the quality of the end-product. This will be accomplished by using digital image processing and neural techniques applied in protected horticultural environments during growth and development of potplants and flowers. The research proposed will contribute to competitivity in that it will reduce labour costs, and to quality of produce in that it will contribute to a more consistent quality of flowers and potplants at market time.
