The aim of this project is to improve the knowledge on the 'functional' properties of non-digestible oligosaccharides. The oligosaccharides occur naturally in foods but their nutritional, physiology and metabolism have not been evaluated. This project addresses these 'gaps' in our knowledge in a multidisciplinary manner.
