Objective
The concerted action aims:
- to inventorize and evaluate existing evidence and experience on the assessment of environmental, nature, and landscape performances of organic types of agriculture;
- to develop a harmonized methodology for a compatible screening of nature and landscape values of farming systems and agro-enterprises, e.g. to contribute to the development of 'country side stewardship';
- to generate an overview of supporting trends and constraints in society, from farmers 'up to consumers' levels, regarding landscape perception and validation;
- to get a clear and compatible picture of the economic cost/benefit ratio of internalizing the environmental and bio-diversity management costs into the agricultural production system.
