Objective
The project aims at improving seed handing procedures for dormant tree seeds, and at obtaining a better understanding of the seed dormancy processes.
The research programme includes the following tasks:
a) for seed handling: optimal collection and handling, effect of pretreatments, storage of pretreated seeds, and
b) for the molecular studies on the dormancy process: endogenous hormones involved, molecular changes during dormancy, infection and breakage.
