Objective
Following on from the activities of COST 813, it was suggested to produce a practical handbook on "Damaging Agents in the Forest Nurseries of Europe".
The work will be done in 3 stages:
1. a qualitative and quantitative gathering of information on the importance of forest nursery pests and diseases across Europe;
2. the production by the national coordination of the text of a publication describing the pests in order that nursery managers can identify them; and
3. a broad survey of species and tree types produced and the differences in cultivation, site types and other variables that may influence pest damage.
