OPTIMIZATION OF HERBICIDE DOSE

Objective

The proposal concerns a concerted action to stimulate research on the minimisation of herbicide doses and the interaction between low doses and other factors (crop density, biological and mechanical control). In particular it envisages the testing of a Danish computer based advisory system 'PC Plant Protection' in other countries. The validation of the system will be made on four crops cereals, peas, sugar beets and oil seed rape. This will lead to a low dose, integrated weed control strategy.
