MINIMAL STRUCTURES USING HIGH STRENGTH CONCRETE

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Exploitable results

The use of an ultra high strength concrete for particular applications have been demonstrated through the design, production and testing of full scale structural members. The test results were according to expectations. Based on these results and other test results a design handbook has been set up, which is of benefit in design of other structures in CRC (the specific type of concrete investigated in this project). In addition tests have been carried out to prepare CRC for larger scale production by cutting down on mixing time from 18 minutes to 8 minutes and giving recommendations for production. Finally, the tests on durability have demonstrated superior properties which will be useful as long term properties are often discussed when assessing a newly developed material.
