Recovery of slate waste

SLATE WASTE ASSUMES MORE AND MORE MAIN ROLE ON ENVIRONMENT IMPACT. ACTUALLY, THE LOW PRICE OF SLATE WASTE IT IS NOT SUITABLE TO COMMERCIALIZE. THUS IT NEEDS TO FIND SOLUTIONS TO BENEFIT SLATE WASTE. THE AIM OF THIS PROJECT IS TO PERFORM A NEW PRODUCT A NEW MATERIAL BY HEAT TREATMENT OF SLATE WASTE WITHOUT BINDERS. PREVIOUS STUDIES OF VALONGO SLATE (PORTUGAL) SEEM TO SHOW THAT IT SHALL BE POSSIBLE TO EXPECT A COMPACT PRODUCT FROM ONE KIND OF SLATE WASTE AFTER HEAT TREATMENT WITH EVENTUALLY FORMATION OF A STRUCTURAL CERAMIC MATERIAL. MORE OVER TECHNOLOGY USED SHOULD LET TO PRODUCE GREAT SURFACES WITH GOOD WEAR AND THERMAL RESISTANCE AND MORE DECORATIVE ASPECT.
