Objective

The research objective is to provide an efficient and inexpensive logistic system for SME Chilled Food Distributors/producers.
The outline structures of the CALS system has been developed and it has been proved that the concept could be developed.
This system would allow SME's to reduce cost (associated with wastage) and which at the same time would provide opportunities to expand the distributiveness of SME produce. The system will be modular in construction and inter nodal in design and will allow for specific signing of requirements to individual SME capacity. It will also have the ability to inter relate a number of SME systems together on an open window basis.
