Objective
Fast Firing in continuous processes will be the only competitive way to manufacture ceramic products in a near future. These processes have already been solutioned for the case of small, or flat/thin, products like dishes and pavements.
Nevertheless, for other ceramic (clay material based) products, like the facing bricks, the same process has been investigated during the last years without reaching the searched success. Partial solutions have been found however the coction time reduction (to approximately 3 hours) for the continuous production is yet to be demonstrated.
The proposed research will analize several materials and final products in order to define the most adequate process. As a result a scale prototype will be constructed and proved.
