USE OF LOW TEMPERATURE RETURN WATER OF DISTRICT HEATING SYSTEM COMBINED WITH PASSIVE SOLAR HEATING

Energy saving by use of low temperature return water of DH.

60000 m2 of dwellings and offices in the city centre of Copenhagen will be built near the return feeder to the cogenerative plant. It is proposed to heat the complex with this low temperature district heating return water by use of low temperature systems: floor and panel heating and oversized radiators nominal temperature range is 60/40 deg. C. 11000 m2 of glass covering between the different blocks allow extra energy saving by passive solar heating.
Innovation : new complex designed from the beginning for low temperature heating, combination with large area glass covering. Plastic pipe for the heat distribution.
