Ziel

The aim of ETNOKA.COM is to create a multilingual platform for European students, based around the central concept of multilingual chatting. The projects has four main objectives:
- to validate the need for, and to demonstrate the feasibility of, the use of state-of-the-art machine translation technologies
- to assess its economic viability and cost-effectiveness of such a system
- to develop a showcase demonstrator to validate the feasibility of concept
- to identify the market for a multilingual chatting applications.
The ETNOKA.COM service will be available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish in the first instance, with the intention of extending the service to all European languages in the future.
Results :ETNOKA.COM is expected to offer the following:
a multi-lingual gateway available in 5 European languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish) Multilingual content on education, employment, travel, etc relevant to students. The information will be translated from the language of origin to the other 4 languages using the Systran system community services and activities
