Objective
The solar radiation is the major renewable source of power. Integration of (light directing) holographic optical elements (ROE) into the envelope of the build environment offers high efficiency use of this source. The control of solar power by redirecting the direct and indirect light of the sun will give a broad scale of applications with a high potential for energy saving. We will produce Hoe's for illuminating remote room areas with high quality diffuse or direct light of the sun as well as for efficient solar control to reduce cooling loads and for light concentrating system to enhance effectiveness of photovoltaic panels. The application of Hoe's will lead to an integrated approach to make use of the solar power for building performance. This provides a major step toward a sustainable energy solution for buildings by reducing the energy intensity on demand.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
