Supercritical fluid extraction and thermodynamic study- application to fractionation of aromatic systems

Objective

D will work in a group which research is centered on thermodynamics and supercritical fluid extraction. D willl study the faisability of continuous extraction process of an aromatic mixture from wine musts, followed by fractionation of extract into cuts, one rich in higher alcohols and ethanol, the other heavier aromatic substances. Wall use phase equilibrium measurements and correlation to represent our system which is simplified, so as to find the best conditions for the fractionation. Experimental data will be obtain in the same time, so as to compare our simulation and it's validity. Some parameters will be study such as viscosities and diffusion coefficients, p in aromatic mixtures with superarlical CO2. We use 2 representative molecules of the aromatic system for our model.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
