Synthesis characterisation and catalytic activity of hg-na clusters entrapped within the zeolitic cages infaujasite strucutre

Objective

In the present application we propose the synthesis of Hg-Na clusters entrapped within zeolite cages in faujasite structures prepared by reduction of Hg- Na exchanged zeolite Y or X with the appropriate reductor (i e alkali-metal vapor alkali-azide. n-butyl-lithium or sodium disolved in liquid ammonia or amines ) . The obtained solids are going to be characterised by ESR Vis-U.V. and MAS-NMR spectroscopies and the environment around the Hg into the clusters formed within the zeolite is going to be studied by EXAFS. The stability of the Hg- Na is going to be studied by microcalorimetry and ESR spectroscopy by adsorption O2. Finally the catalitic activity in side-chain alkylation of toluene with ethylene and butene isomerisation are going to be measure in a flow reactor. These catalysts could extend the basicities availables for base catalys reactions to the superbasicity range (pKa>35).

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
