Objective
AFRAMILK is an RTD project and complies with the general socio-economic objectives of the Generic Activity 2: 'Measurements and Testing' . More specifically, the proposal meets the objectives and modalities: Anti-fraud, Instrumentation, 6.1.2 Periodic Call. The objectives are (i) determine the percentage of fat and water, (ii) determine the freshness (rnicrobiological quality), (iii) determine the addition of low-cost milk to milk of higher costs, and (iv) detection of illegally used substances (toxins, antibiotics) . The technical result of the project is a multi-sensor system based on PC-based equipment for the detection of the most common adulterations and frauds of milk. This system will use impedance spectroscopy, ultrasonic measurements, and special sensors with recognizing coatings (lipids, antibodies).
