Objective
Description:
The Institut für Mikrotechnik Mainz GmbH (IMM) is a leading R&D facility in the field of micro-technology. Founded in late 1990 by the state government of Rheinland-Pfalz (Rhineland-Palatinate) as a company of public interest, it meanwhile counts more than 220 staff members (esp. physicists, chemists, engineers, technicians and administrators) as well as a number of diploma or PhD students and trainees. For almost a decade it has accumulated a comprehensive scope of process equipment unmatched by any single institution in Europe. In more than 400 national and international projects it has gained expertise in the design, development and fabrication of marketable micro-devices.
Application:
Transnational Access to the facilities of IMM is granted upon positive evaluation of proposals by an expert panel following a Call for Proposals. Such calls are issued at least once a year. Details on envisaged dates can be learned from our website or directly from the project manager.
