Objective
The construction of a small hydroelectric unit in order to provide electric energy to the Monastery of Filotheos in Agio Oros.
In addition the project will satisfy the Monastery needs for watering and irrigation of the surrounding area.
The unit will comprise of a Twin jet impulse type turbine directly connected with synchronous alternating current generator 1000 RPM.
The unit will be placed inside a small shelter.
For the purpose of collecting and carrying the area water in the unit, a steel pipeline will be constructed with a total length of 263,55 m, connecting the deposit with the unit.
In order to drive the water from the collection dam that will be constructed to the deposit, an existing ditch with a total length of 1200 m will be reconstructed accordingly.
In order to protect the unit shelter from landslight a retainer wall will be constructed (20 x 5 x 9 m). Moreover, auxiliary roads will be constructed in order to carry the necessary equipment in place.
