Objective
This project aims to establish a network of institutions from Western Europe and the NIS with common interests in teaching and research in the agro-food area. The network will include ten institutions from Western Europe and six from the NIS. The aim of the project is to establish adequate communication channels between the institutions involved. For that purpose, the institutions in the NIS are to be provided with adequate offices and modern communication equipment.
One working party will study in detail the areas of food processing technology and food quality, which are of prime importance to all the participating institutions. The working party will make recommendations on improvements to be made in student training, laboratory equipment, ongoing and future research, staff training and interactions with industry. A programme of short visits to Western Europe institutions of staff from the NIS institutions will be arranged.
