Deliverables

Manufacturers and distributors have used the opportunity within B2B-ECOM to understand and adapt to the new ways of working. The pilot demonstrates online service allowing electrical installers to define technically the electrical components of a domestic installation, such as an individual house or an apartment building, and to provide them with electrical power as required. The pilot contains B2B-ECOM compliant on line catalogues, working with a set of B2B-ECOM compliant software modules. The functions offered by the pilot are: - Creation of a project, defining its name, the client address as well as the architect's and the installer's. - Choice of an electrical cabinet in a technology called 'Pre-set'. - Choice of electric components for complementary electrical cabinets. - Eventually, selection of domestic electrical components (ultra-terminal) for the installation such as switches, plugs, telephone plugs. - Selection of luminaries and other lighting appliances. - Selection or computation of electrical cables. - Price quotation. - Ordering and delivery time. The B2B-ECOM project leans heavily on the pilot developed during project life, to test and validate different usability aspects based on use cases. A demonstration centre allows for testing and demonstrating the pilot in a secured environment.
Common open specifications and taxonomy are the cornerstone for the integration of services and the free flow of information along the supply chain. All technical interface specifications, necessary to link catalogues and connect other party software (services, plug-ins) to B2B-ECOM compliant systems. This includes full XML specifications, extensive API external specifications, and other technical specifications. These standards and guidelines are provided for: - SRAPI: For catalogue providers that already have on line catalogues and want to link these with the B2B-ECOM-framework, it gives the exact specifications for the interface to be developed between the proprietary catalogue and the B2B-ECOM framework. - Service API: For an organisation that develops a service for on line catalogues, it give the exact specifications for the interface of that service to the B2B-ECOM framework. - ERP Integration: For an internal It development department it provides the full description to develop software to link their proprietary ERP to B2B-ECOM compliant systems.
