Customer After Sales Help

Objective

The objective of CASH is to create an innovative Electronic Commerce Solution for direct, on-line customer support for software products. CASH aims thus at enabling Software suppliers to achieve the key Strategic Objective of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of customer support activities. The primary focus of the CASH Project will be on software products; both the corporate and the retail (private) markets will be targeted, i.e. both larger and smaller software packages (multi-user and single-user) will be covered efficiently. In order to achieve the above objectives, the CASH Project will design, develop, test, validate, demonstrate and commercially exploit an innovative Electronic Commerce Solution for direct, on-line customer support for software products. The specific Technical Objective and Result is CASH, a vertical Electronic Commerce Platform for the market segment defined above, supporting a number of quantitatively assessable advanced features.

Objectives:
The objective of CASH is to create an innovative Electronic Commerce Solution for direct, on-line customer support for software products. CASH aims thus at enabling Software suppliers to achieve the key Strategic Objective of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of customer support activities.

This, in turn, will make it possible:
to lower the cost of entry of software companies to enter and to compete in new products and new markets;
to reach and penetrate foreign markets easily and cost-effectively and defend their domestic market against foreign intrusions;
to reach a wider number of customers more often, more quickly and at lower costs than it is today possible;
to support, facilitate and enforce the activities of their representing Agents, making it possible to achieve higher consistency with the Corporate Business Strategies and more homogeneous levels of services irrespectively from countries and from the physical location of customers.

Work description:
In order to achieve the above objectives, the CASH Project will design, develop, test, validate, demonstrate and commercially exploit an innovative Electronic Commerce Solution for direct, on-line customer support for software products. The specific Technical Objective and Result is CASH, a vertical Electronic Commerce Platform for the market segment defined above, supporting a number of quantitatively assessable advanced features:
- It will build upon an object-oriented Data Store of information related to Products and Customers Profiles.
- Site Repositories containing data of different kinds and various formats;
- It will support the CASH administrator at the end-user sites in maintaining the information in the Data Store
- It will automatically generate static Web-pages containing basic but up-to-date commercial information
- It will dynamically generate personalised and customised Web-pages providing answers to specific, non-standard customer enquiries, which will be formulated through a sophisticated user interface;
- It will provide diagnostic and software configuration applets;
- It will provide Workflow support.
