Deliverables
The formation processes of gas and oilwere studied for reservoirs deeper thanthose currently being exploited. Experi-mentaldata and models were developedfor fluid flow (gas and oil migration)and rock/fluid properties; gas genera-tionfrom crude oil at source and inreservoir; and effects of temperature,time and other factors on reservoir con-tents.The models were compared withfield data, and are used by oil compa-niesfor decreasing the economic riskof exploration and exploitation in hightemperature/pressure areas.
