The role of tissue transglutaminase in inducing gluten t cell response and autoantibody formation in coeliac disease

Objective

Deamidation and transamidation activities of tTG are measured and the influence of tTG autoantibodies is determined. Gluten-tTG complexes are applied to investigate the role of cognate T/B cell interaction for the formation of tTG autoantibodies. An in vitro marine system, a marine adoptive transfer model and an in vitro human system will be used.
