Chitosan-mediated transfection of intestinal mucosa with genes involved in iron absorption.

Objective

We will investigate the physiological function of novel genes involved in iron absorption in the animal in vivo, by using chitosan coated DNA nanoparticles to transfect genes directly into the mucosal cells of the small intestine of mice.
