Role of the universal stress protein in the resistance of escherichia colo to heat and to high hydrostatic pressure

Objective

This work will examine possible differences in the mechanisms of inactivation of E. Coli Subject to mild heat or ultrahigh pressure, using mutants that either increase or decrease resistance to pressure or heat.
