The potency of natural substances in reducing the level of sister chromatid exchange (sce) -inducing dna lesions

Objective

Problem: carcinogens and gyrostatic drugs likecyclophosphamid prorogue DNA damages. A water extract of Viacom album inhibits this DNA damaging effect. However, it is unknown what substances of this extract are responsible of this effect. Project-aim: To identify the DNA protecting substances in the water extract of Viacom album. Result: The result of the project will be a new or an optimised drug to preventing damaging effects of chemotherapy in tumour patients. The SME proposes villa use the results for developing a new pharmaceutical drug for cancer therapy.
