Development of a computer-based renewable energy information network

Objective

THE RENEWABLE ENERGY INFORMATION NETWORK (REIN) WILL ACT AS MARKET PLACE FOR INFORMATION EXCHANGE. IT WILL BE ORGANIZED IN A FULLY DECENTRALIZED WAY WITH UNLIMITED EXTENSION POSSIBILITIES.
INPUT To THE SYSTEM CAN BE PROVIDED BY EACH INDIVIDUAL PARTNER. INPUT EXAMPLES COULD BE KEYWORDS ON THE ACTUAL WORKING AREA OF A SCIENTIST OR ON EQUIPMENT ETC. .
THIS WAY EACH PARTNER CAN KEEP HIS SHOWCASE UP TO DATE AND IS MOTIVATED TO DO SO. THEREFORE, NO CENTRALIZED ACTION WILL BE NECESSARY FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND THE NETWORK : GROWTH WILL NOT AFFECT ANY MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES. THE SYSTEM WILL ENABLE TO FIND PARTNERS FOR ACTUAL RESEARCH, TO EXCHANGE SOFTWARE, LITERATURE, GRAPHICS AND ENABLE A SYSTEMATIC BENEFIT OF R&D RESULTS FOR ALL PARTNERS.
THE NETWORK WILL COMPLEMENT BUT NOT REPLACE EXISTING SYSTEMS LIKE CORDIS. DURING THE PROJECT THE HARD AND SOFTWARE STRUCTURES WILL BE DEFINED AND TESTED IN A SMALL NETWORK BETWEEN THE THREE PARTNERS. IF SUCCESSFUL ANY FURTHER EXTENSION WILL BE EASILY POSSIBLE AND SHOULD TAKE PLACE AUTOMATICALLY.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
